BreAnn Garr is a Medical Science Liaison specializing in cardiovascular and renal therapeutic areas. She supports a territory encompassing Cincinnati, OH, Kentucky and West Virginia where she engages with healthcare professionals to advance scientific exchange, provide education on drug and disease states, and support clinical research initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes.
Dr. Garr earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Butler University in 2010. She completed a PGY1 residency at Indiana University Health (2011), followed by a pediatric-focused PGY2 residency at Texas Children’s Hospital (2012). She then served for 11 years as the heart transplant and advanced cardiomyopathy clinical pharmacist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, practicing under a collaborative agreement. In 2023, she began her current role as a MSL at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals.
She resides in Northern Kentucky with her husband and three children – a daughter (7) and boy/girl twins (5).

Marla Johnson serves as the strategic medical lead for key healthcare accounts, leveraging scientific expertise and market insights to build trusted relationships, inform access strategies, and drive evidence-based solutions that improve patient care.
She earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University in 2001 and began her career as a nurse practitioner in a Heart and Vascular practice. Marla joined Boehringer Ingelheim in 2010 as a Clinical Science Consultant (CSC), focusing on expanding the market for COPD and AFib therapies. In 2016, she transitioned into a Health System Business Specialist (HSBS) role, supporting BI’s portfolio at TriHealth Health System. In 2020, Marla moved to the medical side of the business in her current AMA role, where she continues to provide strategic support to her dedicated health system partners.
Outside of work, Marla enjoys spending time at the lake with her fiancé, Jesse, and her three children—Beau, Jax, and Lily.
